“THE DAY” is March 28

Hey Everyone (or at least all the male parents — sorry…)–
This is your first official invite of the year to mark off March 28 on your calendar for skiing and other activities with THE GUYS up at Stowe. Founders Tiger Shaw and Steve Bensen may not be able to make it this year, but The Day lives on. We promised to keep things simmering until they return. So if you are a guy, ski, and want to have fun skiing with a pack of hooligans at Stowe in late March, read on.
This year we will post info on TheDayVT.wordpress.com and you are encouraged to subscribe to the blog for updates. (It’s an easy process: click the little menu icon, and put your email in the subscribe box, then look for an email confirming you did it right). This will allow us to update everyone on the fly — even at Stowe, but just to the people who are interested.
I will try to send one only one more reminder to this massive list, then I will leave you alone unless you opt in….This historical email list is HUGE because we don’t want to leave anyone out, but we also don’t want to spam people who aren’t interested.
For those curious, here is the basic schedule:
Thursday evening March 27 – Leave Hanover/Norwich at 5 or 5:30pm (car pool available) for cook-out, beverages and overnight at the Gordon Family ski dorm on Luce Hill Road. (Bring a sleeping bag).
Friday, March 28 – meet at the Quad at 8am  to p/u ticket and join the crowd (daytrippers can just meet us there). Rip the groomers, test out the front four, sample the trees and creek beds.
10:30 hike the Chin, conditions permitting
12:30 lunch at Spruce Camp @ Little Spruce – take Easy Over gondola to get there
Post lunch — bump, cruise, ski trees ’til you drop or refuel in parking lot
3:45 meet @ top of Mt Quad to ski the Bruce trail to the Matterhorn, or 4:00 at cars, drive to Matterhorn
5:30 or so, return to Upper Valley
Cost to TBD but the ticket is usually a little over half off a regular season full-day at Stowe, and dinner & breakfast will be wrapped in for those staying at Stu’s.
You can go ahead and RSVP now, or just subscribe and follow the blog for more updates
