USSA Race on January 12 at Ragged Mountain

Hi Everyone– We’ve been having a great time this holiday break the kids have been getting their skills dialed and learning new stuff, while expanding their horizons with Whale skiing on Thomas!

Looking a few weeks out, our schedule for January 12 lists “Cote Open at Ragged or Training at the Skiway.” The Cote Open is a United States Ski Association (USSA) Sanctioned race that is open to U10 aged kids. Our intention is to bring some of the more experienced U10 kids to the race. This is primarily the kids who skied in the Mountain Race Program last year, and/or have been training with Mark/Rich/Brian Garfield over vacation. We also know there are a few kids who have been training with Isabelle/Chris/B.D./Geoff who may want to come as well, and they are certainly welcome to join us.

We will have a range of other race opportunities for all U10 kids later in the season, and I purposely did not put this on the schedule for first time racers/parents as there are certain issues with the organizers of this race that crop up repeatedly. If you have any questions as to whether or not the race is appropriate for you skier, please find Mark at the Skiway or email mark@nomadcom.com

For those who do want to enter, the easiest way is to do it through AlpineReg.com

You will need to know that it is a NHARA race and it is at Ragged. You also need to have your child’s USSA card number on hand.
