Family Ski Day on Sunday at Bretton Woods or Loon

Hi everyone– Just a reminder that we are planning to have our first U10 family ski day at either Bretton Woods or Loon, this Sunday. Our goal is to make sure all of the U10 kids have had the opportunity to get on snow prior to our first training days at the Skiway in the later part of December. While there will be U10 coaches there this weekend to help kids get oriented and find friends/other families to ski with, we will not be breaking up into formal group or directing the sessions the way we do at dryland or on a normal training day. We want the kids to ski with family or friends, and get used to skiing again at their own pace.

In the next day or two we will get the final word on the ticket deal — which is extended to family and friends — giving everyone the opportunity to ski for a significantly discounted price. We will either direct you to the Ford Sayre site to have you pre-purchase your tickets, or ask you to email our coordinator for the weekend with the number of tickets you want.

Since our goal is to get people skiing — we certainly don’t mind if you choose to go to a different ski area, or ski on a different day. We just want you to get on snow at least one of the next two weekends. The good news since last weekend is that this has been a good week for snowmaking and that is due to continue into the weekend — so many more areas are either open, or will be soon. The bad news is that next week doesn’t look good (and less than good weather may start on Sunday)…so this may be the best opportunity to make some turns in early December.

As always if you have any questions, feel free to email me at
