So we are looking forward to a great day of skiing at Burke this Saturday. The weather is looking good, and they may even get some fresh snow. Burke has great fun, winding trails, and steep wide options well beyond what the Skiway offers. It’s a very easy drive up I-91.
Bruce Sacerdote has arranged for Ford Sayre families to be part of a pre-purchase group deal so that anyone 6 or or older can ski for only $33 — this applies to kids, family, friends etc… So come one, come all. You can buy and pay online through the Ford Sayre site. http://tinyurl.com/6obzjrb
Bruce will be in the Sherburne (Base) Lodge from about 8:30 on, on Saturday morning to give out tickets to those who pre-buy. We will meet ON SNOW outside the Lodge at 9am. We’ll ski until about 1:30 or 2pm. We’ll try to break for lunch in the Sherburne Lodge at 11:30am. Parents are welcome/encouraged to come along (if you can keep up) to shadow groups and help us prevent lost sheep.
On the pre-buy front, I think Bruce will cut off payments on Friday, so if you can’t decide what you are doing you can still come up to Burke and either A) buy a $40 discounted ticket at Skier Services with your Skiway Pass, or B) Buy a full price ticket at any ticket window.
On Sunday we will be back at the Skiway. There is a race on Worden’s and the Lodge will be crowded so we will meet at 9am at the Winslow (Quad) lift.
